The food was excellent had ordered from benes to impress visitors with Scottish fish and chips. They were impressed with the food quality. Delivery was disappointing as was over half an hour late. However, this shop is extremely popular for a reason and is always busy. Therefore all is forgiven and we will visit again

Ordered and charged for sweet potato fries but sent normal fries which weren't that nice with a message on the box saying they had none. Garlic mayo was in boxes with hot food and didn't taste right. Normally good food but not on this occasion

I’d ordered the soft tacos but was given hard tacos. The fries were cold and the kids fish was not as advertised- unless goujouns just means one piece of fish (goujouns usually suggests smaller pieces). My husband’s fish supper was good but sadly and overall disappointing

I waited almost two hours and didn't even taste it , asked for a refund . It's apparently delivered and here's my rating . Tired starving family , not impressed !

It said my meal would be delivered at 6.20 it came early and it was dry and cold it certainly wasn't freshly cooked very disappointed 😒

Lovely fish and chips

Delivery 40 minutes early, bith lots of chips luke warm and pizza like cardboard and also luke warm. Meat in kebab chewy and fish was just ok. Very disappointed.

The Tex Mex Gourmet Burger was much smaller than usual and not as tasty. Salad was not on the burger, but piled on top of the chips. Not to their usual standard, I'm afraid. The hot dog was OK and the chicken kebab was very good.

Couldn't believe how much we got. Ordered for 3 and it would have fed at least 6 or 7. It was really tasty. Only one fault we were given soft tacos instead of hard

Cold chips, fish all batter with some dried up fish inside. Worst fish and chips had by far!

Pasta didn’t tasted right it was split and not very enjoyable

Wrong order delivered and drink missing

Another great order. However, I'm convinced they don't know what is written on the menu for the vegetarian pizza. I've ordered this pizza several times now and each time it comes with different toppings (certainly not all of the toppings advertised on the menu). It always tastes good but it's a lottery as to what will be on if.

Brilliant food

Our expected delivery time was 50 minutes. After this time we had to call the restaurant to ask where our food was, noone answered. After a further 20 minutes we called again and was told that our food was just leaving and would be with us soon. When the food arrived we first opened the chips, which were like McDonald's french fries. I had ordered it with cheese and salt and sauce. The cheese was still hard and not melted on top and there was absolutely no salt and sauce. The chips themselves were hard and tasted like cardboard. So disappointing. We also ordered a sweet chilli kebab. This was delicious. The chicken was very tasted and the salad was good. Unfortunately this didn't make up for the experience.

Excellent as always

On line order for collection - went to collect and food hadn’t been made. Waited further 15min. No garlic mayo supplied even though ordered, and one wrap was saturated in chili sauce making some of it inedible. Usually get a great meal from Benes so this was a bit disappointing.

Really disappointed in the fish. Wasn't a whole piece of fish and normally the fish has nice golden crispy batter. Port seton benes so much better. Really disappointed to see the fish come in two long pieces.

Menu is huge! Loads to choose from. The Chicken shawarma is very tasty. Also had the small donner meat calzone recently which was really good too. The wife also really enjoyed the gourmet cheeseburger burger when she had that.

Ordered meal at 1840 arrived at 8 Food nearly cold when it arrived Had to reheat in microwave Chips were mainly dregs Very disappointed Not enjoyable !!!

My order was placed at 4.30pm on a Friday. It arrived at about 5.50pm. Totally ridiculous. Food was almost cold. I even phoned the takeaway twice whilst waiting. In future I will just walk to my local chippy in Tranent. Then I'll get my food quicker and it will be hotter! Also - no delivery charge.
